Introducing Anne Lau

ANNE LAU is a playwright and theatre maker who is passionate about creating theatre for dialogue. Her aim is to produce theatre that confronts audiences with the sociological realities we live in. This comes from a belief that individuals are threads in a larger social fabric that is complex and dynamic and a passion to reflexively make sense of what it means to be human here and now.

Anne has recently completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), majoring in Government and International Relations and History, has been selected to participate in The Salon as a part of Playwriting Australia’s LOTUS Project, has studied playwriting and screenwriting at NIDA, and has written for Buzzcuts¬†reviewing Sydney Fringe Festival shows. She has also been involved in curating exhibitions for VIVID and Head On Photography Festival, as an art gallery manager for Australia China Art Foundation (ACAF),¬†and has assisted with coordinating youth poetry programs as the program administrator for Word Travels, a spoken word organisation. Anne has interned with Ensemble Theatre and volunteered with Milk Crate Theatre.
