Carly YoungREM: My ‘work in progress’ Showing
Here are some images from my showing on Tuesday 30th July 2013 at Shopfront, plus the little blurb from the program!
Looking forward to going through the feedback forms from the night…
REM (Working title)
REM (working title) is an early development of my intention to explore the Shopfront location, space and potential imaginary. This showing presents a series of small site-specific performance installations which have been created in different spaces of the building that engage me creatively and conceptually. I am interested in identifying a sensitivity and responsiveness to place, not only as a physical site, but as a portal for the spectators’ imagination; The REM (rapid-eye movement) stage is the first phase of sleep in which dreams are conceived.
