Avoiding the unavoidable

There has been a small yellow post-it note stuck on my desk for weeks. It reads, ‘Sybella, do your blog entry!’. It is funny, knowing full well that writing down thoughts on process, trials and errors can be one of the most helpful things to do I shy away from it. I think it may be something to do with the fact that once it is on paper/screen, it suddenly seems all black and white and for some reason there is comfort in the unknown, the grey.

I have been avoiding this blogging thing. As soon as I log on to my dashboard I feel naked and begin searching for cover, a costume. This costume seems to have morphed into the shape of avoidance. To openly discuss my process and various thoughts on the internet that have come into play is almost like sharing my secrets with a stranger. Ins

Over the last four weeks we have all been working towards the impending Industry Showing. At points almost given into the pressure and at others becoming completely excited about what lies ahead. This constant shift of state is driving me forward, I think this is what Exquisite Pressure is. There are several deadlines that are set within my week and I react to all.

The last few weeks have been somewhat of a whirlwind. This is my first time as primary facilitator within a devised process and there are points where I do think I may have bit off more than I can chew.
